Three days back owncloud launch owcloud 6.0.4 version, Now i’m going to upgrade in my owncloud from 6.0.3 to 6.0.4
Just follow the below steps to do it. I have worked on owncloud past two weeks that’s why i’m keep on posting about owncloud and its very interesting to working on it.
Tested Environment.
Server OS | CentOS release 6.5 Server (Final) |
MySQL Version | 5.5.37 |
ownCloud Version | 6.0.3 to 6.0.4 |
Apache Version | 2.2.27 |
Step-1
See the below screen shot, In admin page its shows ownCoud 6.0.4 is available. Get more information on how to update
Step-2
Before upgrading, backup your owncloud directory and database for safe purpose.
root@server [/home/cloud2daygeek/public_html]# cp -R owncloud /home/cloud2daygeek/backup/ root@server [/home/cloud2daygeek/public_html]# mysqldump -u root -p owncloud > owncloud.sql
Step-3
Admin >> admin >> Update Center
Step-4
It will popup new page like below. In Backup Management shows you don’t have any backup.

After hitting Update button, wait some more time to complete the backup. After complete the backup, it will move the backup to updater_backup directory.
Step-7
Now, hit the Proceed button, it will upgrade your database to latest version.
Step-8
It will take few mins, after that you will redirected to admin page.
Step-9
admin >> admin >> scroll down bottom of page, here you can see the current version of owncloud installed on your server.
