Revival Icon Theme is one of the new theme for Linux Desktop which remake of an old icon theme (I don’t know what he is referring for old one), with gradient and some actualized icons. It will work with all kind of Linux Desktop’s. The theme comes with 3 folder colors : Ubuntu Orange, mint green and blue folders. There are 3 separate packages based on the folder color, so you can install the one you need. All mimetype icons come from Emerald theme.
1) Install Revival Icon Theme on Linux Desktop
Manually we can install the Revival Icon Theme to all the Linux Desktop by downloading Revival Icon Theme from developer dropbox Ubuntu Orange, mint green and blue and extract to /usr/share/icons
directory.
Revival Ubuntu Orange Icon Theme
$ cd /Downloads $ sudo tar -xzvf revival-icon-theme.tar.gz $ sudo rm -Rf revival-icon-theme.tar.gz $ sudo mv revival /usr/share/icons/
Revival Blue Icon Theme
$ cd /Downloads $ sudo tar -xzvf revival-blue-icon-theme.tar.gz $ sudo rm -Rf revival-blue-icon-theme.tar.gz $ sudo mv revival-blue /usr/share/icons/
Revival Green Icon Theme
$ cd /Downloads $ sudo tar -xzvf revival-mint-green-icon-theme.tar.gz $ sudo rm -Rf revival-mint-green-icon-theme.tar.gz $ sudo mv revival-mint-green /usr/share/icons/
2) Install Revival Icon Theme on Ubuntu/Mint via PPA
Install Revival Icon Theme to Ubuntu, 16.04, 15.10, 15.04, 14.10, 14.04 & Mint 18, 17.3, 17.2, 17.1
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons2 $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install revival-icons
You can easily change the theme/icons by navigating Unity Tweak Tool
>> Themes or Icon
Tab and choose your preferred themes & icon to enable it. Alternatively you can enable by navigating System Settings
.

Yes, you can choose the icon either TweakTool or setting.
I realized that Settings and TweakTool have the same icon. Well i think both are related. It is not a problem
